Summary/Abstract: Relations between Japan and India have been deepening significantly during the last decades. This motivates the researchers to analyze causes of Japan-India rapprochement. Most often change in Japan-India relationship has been related with Chinese influence in ATR. Whether China is the only factor for Japan-India partnership? Does the partnership contain anti-Chinese element? Whether India can help Japan to realize its own diplomatic aims in ATR? The study attempts to answer these questions.
