Summary/Abstract: Difficulties in the social environment of peers caused by the personality structure specifics are distinctive properties in children with high IQ (gifted children). They are characterized by setting very high standards to themselves and those around them, independence of valuations and opinions, a special sense of self-confidence, strong motivation and satisfaction in challenges and general disagreement in behavior. Gifted children are particularly vulnerable to the quality of their own upbringing and the modest support they receive for their development and their cause must be sought in the socio-emotional environment’s specifics. In the fundaments of misunderstanding is their sensitivity to inadequate educational treatment primarily as a consequence of our inadequate response to their needs which are the product of our internal beliefs that create our attitude towards them. The research treats the peculiarities of detection and treatment of gifted children and their response to inadequate educational treatment. The same is designed in such a manner that, on the one hand, treat the basis of their identification and treatment, and on the other, the influence of family and school environment in identification and support of gifted children. In the treatment of gifted children, specific problems are directly related to the work of teachers, that is, their lack of support for the development of appropriate personal challenges, the lack of adequate professional talent literature, mode of work with gifted children, the number of children in classes, scarce material and didactic equipment, and many others.
