Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the present study is to offer the reader a general view of the security strategy of the Czech Republic out of an evolutionary point of view. So rather than analysing in detail a specific security or military strategy we will focus on describing the development and evolution of the Czech Republic‘s defence strategies in the period after the “velvet revolution” till the adoption of the last military strategy in 2008.
