Summary/Abstract: This study aims to highlight the importance of the „Gojdu” Foundation in terms of promoting Romanian cultural values and interests. At the same time the paper highlights the contribution of this foundation to the field of Romanian history and culture. This research also underlines the difficult track of the Gojdu Foundation which struggled over the years to maintain its status. A particular interest is paid to the extraordinary efforts of those who attempted, by means of diplomacy, to recover the testamentary real estates left by its founder in Budapest.
