Summary/Abstract: The paper deals with theatrability, an ethno-theatrological concept introduced into Croatian ethno-theatrology by Ivan Lozica. The author explains how numerous gatherings, namely conferences, founding meetings, congresses, but also weddings, funerals, and other rituals, may be regarded as theatrical events. The author pays special attention to book presentations, illustrating her point of view with four examples. Book presentations are furthermore described as a rite of passage, a ritual associated with a change of social status of an individual or a group.
