Summary/Abstract: This paper presents the first healthcare measures taken in Bihor County in the 18th century and the beginning of the 19th century, a period called the “The Enlightenment Age”. During the Enlightenment, Bihor County was incorporated in the Habsburg Empire, being subordinated to the laws and measures initiated by the imperial Court in Vienna.
