Summary/Abstract: The multi-level relationship between Israel and Turkey, based on common interests but negatively affected by political issues, began as far back as 1949. The key issue in this diplomatic relationship is the attitude that each of these two countries has towards the Palestinian problem. Diplomatic ties suffered a hard blow with the so-called “Gaza flotilla raid” that took place in 2010 but recent diplomatic efforts made by the USA have had a positive effect on the renewal of diplomatic ties between these countries.
