Summary/Abstract: This article examines the positions and attitudes of two well-known Transylvanian intellectuals,Ioan Lupaş and Apáthy István, who met with the French General Henri-Mathias Berthelot, Commander-in-Chief of the Danube Army, during his memorable journey through Transylvania in the winter of 1918-1919.
