Summary/Abstract: Since the turn of the millennia, a shift in the artistic articulation has been visible in the Kosovar theatre productions. The founder of “Qendra Multimedia”, playwright Jeton Neziraj proposes a counter-order, discards the historical staffage and encourages the reflection on reproducing huge, symbolic gestures that unite and strengthen the nation. The created (co)productions, deemed provocative or even iconoclast and anti-patriotic, may be analysed on the local, regional and international levels. The trans-culture perspective and post-colonial theory give an opportunity to capture the specific nature of this work.
