Summary/Abstract: In this paper I will try to show the difficulties of the majoritarian modelfrom the efficacy perspective. Precisely, I want to put in evidence the fact that themajoritarian rule applied to the collective decision is scanty if there are taking inaccount either the results we are expected from the democracy as desirable politicalform or the principles the democracy is supposed to implement (or assure by) themajoritarian procedure. The assumption here is that a legitimate democratic modelinvolves not only legitimate procedures by which some collective decisions are madebut also justified results meaning how effectively or successfully the decisions are madeby the democratic procedure in the implementation of democratic values. In other words, how could we make a real democracy starting from a hypothetical or idealistic one?
