Summary/Abstract: In the text the author questions the ethic of ethical standards of research with children embedded in international and local legal acts. The author primarily deals with ethical issues present before the researcher's "entrance" in the field, arising from personal and academic notions of children and childhood, the discipline and the goals of one's research, which may render the research an anxious field. In the course of this, the author proposes what is conditionally termed ''reflexive no-protection'' which does not represent the opposite to protection, but the exclusion of additional active protection of children during research, and which includes an active and continuous reflexivity of one's own research practices and notions of children and childhood.
