Summary/Abstract: The principal aim of the article is to examine politics of the body and sexuality in contemporary Croatia. Croatia, like many other East European countries, is often described as a country in transition, undergoing many changes. Among these changes, I would like to examine the changes of the politics of sexuality in dominant discourses after the foundation of the new Croatian state and to show how these discourses form a new social reality using demographic politics or, in Foucault’s words, bio-power to save the nation from extinction.
