Summary/Abstract: In the article is presented semantic analysis of polish lexical items ‘transmisja’ i ‘przekaz’ in contrast of English unit ‘transmission’. The contextual analysis of its use that allows constructing their exact meaning concerning a practical application of this term as well as its purpose that is crucial in the understanding of Dawkins idea of a transmission that is the primary term for memetics studies.
