Summary/Abstract: In the history of political philosophy, one of the "ideas that never become obsolete" is the question concerning Politheia, an ideal community of people. Like Marx, Aristotle searches for the reasons why existing political set-ups are not good and why those that are good are not possible. In contemporary circumstances the answer concerning the possibilities for the establishment of an ideal political community has maintained its significance. One has to look for it in the perverted relationship between economy and politics, between the economical and political functions of the state.
