Summary/Abstract: Is time a factorof stylistic unity, as Blaga describes it in Orizont şi stil [Horizon and Style], a factor ofstylistic cohesion, but more important than space? If we grant it with this role, as afactor that generates style, as in Blaga’s conception, this factor must be placed into apre-conceptual area of consciousness, i. e. that of the subconscious temporal horizons.Blaga uses metaphors to denominate them: fountain-time, waterfall-time, and rivertime. In fact, not all that becomes has the chance to be on the right track, to persist. Thisis why within a culture – since here becoming validates its persistence through thevalues that are irreducible and cannot be reduced to elementary authorities, i. e. cannotbe decomposed – duration refers to one of the paths, among the many that were triedout, which, if walked on, leads to creation, i. e. to a stylistic authentical one.
