Summary/Abstract: The model of a self-managing press ought to be a radical alternative to the press models existing in the world today (those of commercialism, etatism, and public service). Therefore the press in our society must free itself from political, economical, cultural, and other monopolies and become an emancipated factor which establishes a balance between the bearers of power and of public authority on the one hand and society on the other. The press must be in the position independently to evaluate everyone's political decision. This will reduce the power of monopolies and discard dissidence and opposition from social living. To achieve this it is necessary that the League of Communists should engage itself more energetically.
