Summary/Abstract: The work deals with the psychological analysis of the character in the novel “Perfume” which was written by Patrick Süskind (1985). The novel is postmodern hybrid text that provides the oportunity not only for the analyis of the major character but also connects intertextuality of belletrisic subjects with the trivial ones. The work gives the insight of different semems as well as of those psychological combined with the theory of Sigmund Freud, Carl Gustav Jung and Eric Ericcson. Psychological analysis is based on the works of different psychologists including the Maslow and Glaser hierarchy. The work shows the possibility for analysis of complex human psyche and importance of postmodern texts for various analyses of pathological character.
