Summary/Abstract: At the beginning of the twentieth century not only the practice of emancipation and feminist ideas were quite newin Eastern Europe, but photographic studios were also rare. My thesis focuses on those women who studied and practicedphotography, and set up their own studios as pioneers in Transylvania.
