Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the dissolution of political parties which may not seem topical and important, but present situation in Czech Republic and abroad shows a different picture. The aim was to describe and analyze conditions for the dissolution of political parties from the perspective of European Court of Human Rights and also from the perspective of Supreme Administrative Court. In the first part of the article there is the analysis of the decisions of European Court of Human Rights in which he determined conditions for the dissolution of political parties. In the second part there is the analysis of two decisions of Supreme Administrative Court dealing with the dissolution of political parties where the court determined conditions for the sphere of Czech political parties. In the end the author argues against the trend in the judicature of European Court of Human Rights in relation to communist ideology and its possible danger for the democratic rule of law.
