Current development in the field of animal welfare

Summary/Abstract: Animal protection is undoubtedly connected to the value system of people. The protection of animals by the legal order of the Czech Republic is graduated, with the highest degree of protection afforded by the criminal law sector, against those acts for which the protection provided primary by administrative law is no longer sufficient. Despite the fact that some major changes have taken place in the last year, some issues in the area of animal welfare remain unsolved.
