Summary/Abstract: This article explores one of the important aspects of Nikolai Berdyaev’s historiosophical concept – his attitude towards the fate of the Jewish people. Some of the major reasons for the crucial role of Jewishness in the development of historical consciousness and for the introduction of dramatic and tense elements in it are reviewed here.
