Summary/Abstract: Disciplinary liability is a longstanding institution of specialists, especially in labor law. However, the situation of the bailiffs is a special one: by performing a service of public interest and being invested by the Minister of Justice, the acts performed being acts of public authority and having probative force prescribed by law, the bailiffs have a status different from that of the employee, the abnormalities and sanctions being regulated by Law no. 188/2000, republished, regarding bailiffs.
