Summary/Abstract: In the article, the author seeks to present history of inter-religious dialogue, Nostra aetete declaration, clause 3 (three), that talks about Islamic religion on The Second Vatican`s convocation. Then, the author proceeds with explaining perspectives and obstacles concerning today` dialogue in the countries of the former Yugoslavia, especially Bosnia and Herzegovina, which serves like positive example of the Christian-Islamic dialogue. In the conclusion, the author considers and suggests possibilities for sincere dialogue in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In scientific researches, the author encourages critical awareness concerning importance and necessity of inter-religious dialogue in solving religious challenges, especially when it comes to social fairness and establishment of permanent peace.
