Summary/Abstract: According to the instrumentalist philosophy of science by George Berkeley and Ernest Mach all the laws of mechanics are “devices for computing, description and prediction of phenomena.” Also, the terms of the laws of all scientists, not only in the field of science of mechanics, as well as the functional dependencies that they express, mean nothing other than devices for computing, description and prediction of phenomena. We have no knowledge of things in themselves, but only of their phenomena as amenities of our senses. Therefore, there are neither primary nor secondary qualities per se, nor can we scientifically talk about them as qualities of things. The quality of items are features of our senses.
