Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to examine the basic preferences of Tillich’s thoughts about language in the context of symbolical speech that has it repercussion on theology, i. e. possible thoughts about religious language. The religious language according to Tillich is holy in its versatile expressions, because it mediates the ultimate concern. But, although the language is able to embrace the space of holy and to speak of Holy itself, Tillich notifies that language could not control and overtake the holy because it is just its mediator. Therefore, his fundamental thesis is that everything we say about God, we do so symbolically.
