Summary/Abstract: In this paper, I will deal with the analysis of two cognitive theories that have given to us by Socrates in IV century BC and Karl Popper in the twentieth century. In these theories I have found a multitude of methodological closeness, regardless the fact that their concepts in their time interpreted as a completely new and revolutionary. Special review I put on the similarity to the way in which critical public attitude towards these two thinkers. On this fact, I see the potential great value for the development of epistemological theories, as well as possible new sources of common European integration potential in the field of culture and civilization value.
