Theory of networks and theory of growth in the management of public service organizations

Summary/Abstract: Nowadays substantial literature describes networks as a new paradigm of public management. The collaboration of organizations that constitute a network should result in the higher effectiveness of public services. As the theory of networks is described to be inconsistent, the theory of growth has been suggested as a possible theoretical framework. The article presents results on empirical research in network effectiveness.
