Summary/Abstract: Traian Gherman was the editor of "Comoara satelor" magazine, an important monthly folklore publication in Transylvania. He was mainly focused on making folk traditions and customs known to his readers. He was particularly concerned about the agrarian customs of the Romanians. He believed that folklore will never disappear because it springs from the soul of a nation, but admits that it adapts to everyday life and some manifestations, that are no longer in harmony with the present reality, disappear. That's why Traian Gherman encourages the collection of folklore works.
