Summary/Abstract: Hermeneutics is at its core a skill for understanding and interpreting texts on the basis of procedures which bring the initial purpose and meaning contained in the textually fixed experiential statements. To understand an image, it is necessary that it be transferred into the medium of language. Just at the point of transition from picture to language hermeneutics occurs. For a successful understanding and interpretation it is necessary to have the ability to unify the content and the many assumptions that are not shown in the content itself but, directly or indirectly, do refer to it.
