Summary/Abstract: The year 1978 represented a remarkable moment, a moment that changed the course and the perception of poetry, not only for the Iași Branch of the Union of Writers, or just for the literary journal "Literary Conversations" (Convorbiri Literare), but for all the post-war Romanian poetry as well. The moment in itself was represented by the National Poetry Colloquy, which was to take place in Iași in October the same year. The present study refers to the publishing performance of the Iași-based magazine, as it is the one which hosted the publications of the poets participating at this special cultural event, not only in the course of the year in question, but during the years of the communist regime as well. A significant number of pages have been attributed to the event, highlighting the importance of this cultural act that was neither well-tolerated by the regime, nor easy to be organized.
