FASHION, FASHIONIST, FAŞIONABIL OR „A FI LA MODĂ”

Summary/Abstract: In our paper, we try to explain why the domain of fashion is into a continuous lexical evolution. There are many words in the fashion world that enrich our Romanian lexis with new meanings that have the purpose to make it be into o permanent dinamics. Thus, we choose some words from different online fashion magazines and we try, at least, to justify the manner in which these words – that have an English etymology – are perceived into Romanian lexis. So we take into account not only the semantic extensions of the words, but also the semantic restrictions of them.
