Summary/Abstract: The place of Vasile Voiculescu in the Romanian literature is well established. The writer is part of the group of traditionalists after the First World War. In the case of Voiculescu's prose, that means a spiritual attitude that is constant in its creation. The writer has formed spiritually in the world of the village, under the influence of folk culture, structuring his personality around a steady belief in ethical values. His spiritual formation in the village world demonstrates the tendency towards folklore, history and primitivism, opposing modernism and rejecting the idea of civilization. The personal theme of the writer is the persistence of the mythical pattern of a spirituality that brings together all the beings of the universe - not just the people, but also the people with their close animals and other fabulous beings - and the confrontation of this pattern with the elements of modern civilization, place to spiritually reunite beings and destroy instead of transforming. Originality comes from the anachronism of matter, vision, and technique, this lack of contact with the literary life of the author; the stories are written for his own pleasure, the expression of both a moral and aesthetic solitude.
