Summary/Abstract: The European dimension, as the basic component of education policy represents a finality which aims at overcoming the national particular elements specific to the European education systems, respecting diversity, emphasizing pluralism and interculturalism. The pedagogy of diversity advocates openness, empathy, communication, value and respect the logic of each culture with all its differentiating elements. Interculturalism is reflected in the diversity of concepts and theories of the pedagogy of diversity. The pedagogical paradigm which is consistent with the objectives and principles of intercultural education is the constructivist pedagogy. The premise of constructivist pedagogy, that there is no absolute truth, is one of the basic principles of intercultural education, which makes use of this type of pedagogy in the implementation of intercultural education.
