Summary/Abstract: In this paper, some economic aspects of gambling are examined in the Federation of BiH in period of 2015–2017. Indicators such as debt-capital ratio, efficiency of business operations, revenue per employee, return on equity, etc. are compared among the statistical section of “Arts, entertainment, recreation” and the average values obtained from aggregated indicators of business operations of firms in Federation of BiH. The wage coefficient is also analyzed and a quantitative insight is derived of significance of wages in labor productivity across statistical sections. The findings point to the conclusion that values of indicators of the statistical section “Arts, entertainment, recreation” are higher than average values of all firms in the Federation. At the same time, the wage coefficient is lower compared to the level of Federation, except for the section “Wholesale and retail“. In conclusion, employees in gambling industry are not paid adequately, even though they have high labor productivity. Industry owners seize unjustifiably high share of the revenue which might lead to increasing in income inequality in the Federation of BiH.
