Summary/Abstract: Not so long ago, there was a Cold War. Everyone talked of it as an ideological battle. For some this was the battle between the free world and the evil empire of Communism; for others it was the battle between the exploiting capitalist class and the workers of the world. But everyone purported to believe that this was a life and death struggle over fundamental political values.
