Summary/Abstract: The number of e-shops is on a constant growth in each field of business and so is the number of consumers doing their shopping online or their purchase frequency. Evolution of the online market is providing great opportunities for both entrepreneurs and their online start-up businesses. The paper is going to deal with e-shopping and measure popularity of e-shops in the Slovak market. We are going to define an average Slovak online buyer based upon the results of the price comparison website Pricemania. The last chapter of the paper is going to present partial results of the research we carried out in the selected e-shops in Slovakia to be operating in the market for max. five years.
