Summary/Abstract: Image studies is not about explaining or printpointing the hypothetical „character" or „temperament" or any race or nation. The imagologist studies statements and texts, and keeps aloof from making, or entering into an argument with real world truth claims for these (e.g. climatological or biological determination) are usually essentialist reitifications.
