Reorganization of theological education, as viewed by Nicolae Colan

Summary/Abstract: Among the various concerns of Metropolitan Bishop Nicolae Colan there is also the desire to have an Orthodox theological education that meets the missionary, pastoral and moral needs of faithful. In several articles published in magazines and journals, the author was directly involved in the reor- ganization of religious education in Romania, advocating for theological academies to leave under the Ministry of Education and come under the authority of the Church. He also believes that the training of future priests and religion teachers can be done much better within the Church, without the influence of secular education.
