Summary/Abstract: Gabriela Melinescu marks an important moment in Romanian lyrical by broadening the thematic area, by introducing new universes and by conferring a special status on words that may seem lacking in expressiveness. Originality and complexity are attributes of its creation. A unique poetic universe is revealed by the writer Gabriela Melinescu. The aquatic element is highlighted in her creation, being in determination relationships with other archetypes present in her work. Identifying the specificity of this primordial element, the way in which it determines the creation of particular worlds, the way in which it alternates and determines the definition of the studied poetic universe.
