Summary/Abstract: Eating more than needed is a common habit nowadays. Man sins as he/she replaces the desire for God, the only one that can fully delight soul, with the pleasure of quantity or quality of food. In the last decades there has been much talk on the eating disorders. The symptoms of this disorder show the effects that are transmitted to body and soul due to man’s breaking from the communion with God. In the present article these disorders are presented (in some places in detail) in order for the consequences of breaking from God to be understood as they are transmitted to all the constituent parts of the human person: bio-psycho-social and spiritual, but also for underlining the necessity of the therapeutic process to be performed by a multidisciplinary team that should also comprise the priest.
