Summary/Abstract: Cosmogonic myths or creation are the most important in the mythology of every nation because they show the origin of heaven and earth, of humans, plants and animals, which stays at the base of all other forms of mythogonics. Among the myths of creation, the myth of the sacrifice is among the most important because it is considered to be one of the four fundamental myths of the Romanian people, but also the myth of non-erotic procreation which, although in the case of fairy tales only refers to the occurrence of pregnancy, as such, the miraculous birth of infants is closely related to the anthropogenic myth. In the existence of men on this earth, offering sacrifices was of particular importance, especially in terms of creation as a primordial act. The tragic theme of the human or animal sacrifice dates back to the ancient times when the gatherers, hunters and fishermen offered sacrifices for good produce, successful hunting, and rich fishing to satisfy the daily need for food. After people began to no longer live in caves and started huts, the slaughter of animals and humans is included in the construction ritual. Over time, human sacrifice in construction has been replaced by that of animals that continue to exist in some places, even nowadays. The myth of the sacrifice for creation is, in fact, a myth of death, of a violent death based on beliefs and ancient rituals of construction, in the mind of the archaic man, any creation being dependent on sacrifice and death. The theme of the absolute sacrifice for a construction is met in many literary works, from legends and fairy tales to carols, ballads, novels and even plays throughout the Balkans.
