Summary/Abstract: This text evokes the holy martyr bishop Antim of Iberia, his literary work and his foundation in Bucharest that bears his name. The originality of the author’s literary discourse is that it explains, based on rich bibliographic sources, the dominant symbols of the church. such as: the eagle, the bat, the sheep, the pigeons, the bee, the serpent and the snail.
