Summary/Abstract: The article discusses the fundamental problems of the history of Poland’s collapse and Polish-Russian relations of that period in the historiosophical concept of Nikolai I. Kareev (one of the main Russian historians of the liberal trend at the turn of the 20th century) in this aspect of the work of a Russian scholar in Polish historical science (primarily in works by Tadeusz Korzon, Aleksander Rembowski, Juliusz Bardach and Marian Henryk Serejski).
