Summary/Abstract: As an acquired language disorder aphasia affects millions of people worldwide. One of the difficulties that aphasic patients usually encounter is the inability to produce well-structured sentences. Even if patients are aware of what they would like to say or express they are often unable to utter words which are syntactically correct. A lot of sentence production impairments have been described during the years and a few generalizations have appeared. In order to help researchers create a generalized list of deficits that occur during aphasic speech, aphasic patients’ spontaneous or semi-spontaneous speech samples have been analyzed.
