DYNAMIC CALCULATION OF THE LEXICAL SENSE: STUDY OF THE FACE NAME

Summary/Abstract: This paper presents a dynamical construction of meaning within the framework of B. Victorri and C. Fuchs’ theory. The most common words of a language are polysemous so it is the word face. First, we examine the various meanings of the word “face” using different dictionaries of synonyms, and then we apply the theory of dynamical representation of meaning which makes it possible to build, in a fully automatic way, the semantic space corresponding to a given polysemous word by using an algorithm based on the analysis of a graph of synonyms.
