Summary/Abstract: The humanist Johannes Honterus was among the most important representative of educational reform in Transylvania. He reorganised the school-system of Kronstadt (Brasov) that obtained great renown. The contribution presents the teaching of humanitarian subjects in the school of Kronstadt.
