Summary/Abstract: As a lecturer, I am often asked how one can find the money to produce a film. I also get to see the high ambitions held by young producers when it comes to financing their first projects, oblivious to the realities of the market. Instead of clipping their wings, I choose to guide myself by the belief that someone who is informed can more easily find solutions. With this study I wanted to offer an insight on the basics of financing possibilities and the options that are out there today. This is a part of my PhD thesis research on studying co-productions from the point of view of an Eastern European producer.
