Summary/Abstract: The article aims at framing Soldier’s Book (2018) by Doina Ruști and Marius Donici in the theoretical and methodological context of the European historical currents analyzing everyday life details. It reviews the main schools of analysis of everyday life: Italian microhistory, Alltagsgeschichte in the German area, the Annales school in France. The subject of the film starts from the notes made on a romance novel by a reservist soldier in World War One, while he was imprisoned in Turnu Severin.
