Summary/Abstract: The economic development of a state is closely linked to the quality of life that that state offers to its population. The most profitable investment a country can make is the investment in education, health and living conditions of its citizens. This investment will generate a huge economic profit in the future. An educated, healthy and happy with its living conditions population generates well-trained and competent human resources that will generate growth and economic development. When the citizens of a state have a high quality of life, they are happier and more productive at work. But a high standard of quality of life and a happy population do not only generate a country's economic development, but also political and social development.
