Summary/Abstract: Nicolae Iorga was a historian, journalist and politician. Opponent of extremist currents. He was prime minister of Romania (1931-1932), wrote monographs of national and universal history and organized the first congress of bizantinology. Also, he has led specialist journals: „Revista istorică”, „Revue Historique du Sud-Est Européen”.Member of numerous academies abroad. He was assassinated (1940).
